For us at PReflect, 2019 is off to a busy start! A few weeks ago we were proud to launch a new website for the Bournemouth & Poole Holocaust Memorial Committee. The site went live in time for the Committee's annual commemorative event, which gathered hundreds of people from across Dorset to remind them of the harrowing events of the Holocaust and subsequent genocides. Lynda Ford-Horne, Chair of the Committee, said: The Bournemouth & Poole Holocaust Memorial Committee had been without a website for some time, which we were finding somewhat frustrating as not everyone uses social media to keep up to date with our activities. As always, we're glad to hear our work has made a difference for yet another local community group. We wish Lynda and the Committee the best of luck with their amazing work across Dorset, and hope the new website will continue to serve them well!

This week, events are taking place all over the UK to mark Small Charities Week - an annual celebration aimed at supporting and raising the profile of small charities across the country. Yes, that's right, this week is all about charities getting their voice heard - and so we didn't want to miss out either!
Brought to us by the Foundation for Social Improvement (The FSI), Small Charity Week is a brilliant opportunity for local charities and community groups to get active online, learn new ways of working, and hold events to celebrate their own achievements. As we often say, it only takes a bit of time and effort to get your name out there in your community. You can have a go yourself... or ask us to help out! Here's a few ideas...
Sounds nice? Let us know and we'll be happy to give you some more advice! After all, this is what we're all about. Have a lovely Small Charity Week, The PReflect Team We are pleased to announce that PReflect has been approved as a member of the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) - the national membership organisation for the third sector in Wales!
As a lot of our activity takes place in North Wales, we find it crucial to be part of Wales' nationwide network of charities, NGOs and volunteer groups. The membership will allow us to stay up to date with developments in the sector, gain valuable contacts and take advantage of the WCVA's wide range of member benefits from training courses to room hire. Outside Wales, we're lucky to have a few more valuable memberships in the bag! You may have heard of the wonderful Small Charities Coalition, who represent small charities at a national level and are all about building effective and lasting relationships between their member organisations. With Dorset Community Action (DCA), Chester Voluntary Action and Brighton & Hove's Community Works on the list, we can develop links with other groups in each of the areas we work in, and ensure we've got all the support we need in your local area. Stay tuned, there's more to come! Next week is national Small Charities Week and we're proud to support the FSI (Foundation for Social Improvement) by spreading the word in our own networks! ![]() With Christmas just two sleeps away, I bet most of us are already indulged in delicious mince pies and puddings. And the only thing even better than homemade sweet treats is the chance to spend time with our loved ones - and the chance to help those in need. Christmas really is a time of giving, and all the amazing charity events across the country are there to prove this. It fills our hearts with joy to see hundreds turning up to heartwarming charity fundraisers, or dozens giving up their time to support those less fortunate than others during this period. These are the kind of moments which make us at PReflect so determined to help out - charities up and down the country are doing amazing stuff and so we're here to make sure their voices don't go unheard. So if your organisation has some great plans for 2018, do get in touch - we'll see what we can do to help you get the message out there. Until then, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a successful New Year! The Team After weeks of work and an enormous amount of fun, we are online and are starting to take charities on board. PReflect is a platform for us. It aims to help local charities who cannot yet afford to pay for PR agencies or prefer to invest their money elsewhere. We are enthusiastic, creative and great at what we specialise in. As we all work and study, we want to give something to the communities we live in by helping the charities around us for free. What better way of learning and developing than helping great causes? We want to give any charity an opportunity to improve and learn. Simultaneously, this will allow us to work in a team, tame our creative hunger and make tomorrow just that little bit better by doing the bit we can do.
